DAST POLICIES

Delaware All-State Theatre believes in being transparent with all of our policies. They are listed below.

DAST THEATRE POLICY

GENERAL INFORMATION
Delaware All-State Theatre is a not-for-profit organization devoted to presenting exceptional student theatre. This process is a journey for all involved including our students, musicians, tech crews, volunteers, parents, and board members. DAST offers a safe and supportive environment. We have a zero tolerance for bullying, cyberbullying, and sexual harassment. We are inclusive and teach the importance of being social-cause focused. We are a professional community group.

LATE SEATING
As a courtesy to our audience and performers, latecomers will be seated only by an usher at an interval established by each performing group. Please be aware of curtain times as they may vary from day to day. Typically, DAST evening performances begin promptly at 7:30 pm and matinees at 2 pm.

CAMERAS, RECORDING DEVICES, CELL PHONES
The use of cameras and recording devices is prohibited inside the theater. In a dark theatre, the bright light from a cell phone can be very distracting to the audience and performers. Please refrain from using your cell phones during the performance and turn them off to prevent disturbances. If needed, DAST ushers reserve the right to expel anyone who violates this policy after one warning.

ACCESSIBILITY
Theater seating is available for patrons using wheelchairs on both the upper and lower levels. Please order wheelchair seating in advance. See the House Manager with any questions.

CHILDREN
Some full length musicals may not be appropriate for or hold the attention of young children. The house management staff may request a restless child and parent to quietly exit to the lobby during the performance. Children are not permitted to run around the theater at anytime before, during, or after a performance. Children are not permitted to roam the aisles during a performance. If your baby or child(ren) cannot sit through a Delaware All-State  Theatre production quietly and attentively, then we respectfully request that you not bring them to our shows. We recommend:

Delaware Children's Theatre (www.DEChildrensTheatre.org)

Wilmington Drama League (www.wilmingtondramaleague.org)

The Children's Theatre, Inc. (www.thechildrenstheatre.org)

Each of these organizations cater to theater for younger audiences.

FIRE EXITS
Emergency exits are indicated by red-light signs. In the event of fire or other emergency, proceed calmly to the exit nearest you. Doors with “exit only” signs will lead you out of, and not back into, the building.

LOST AND FOUND
Please contact the DAST at info@DASTonline.org for all lost and found inquiries.

REFRESHMENTS
Refreshments are permitted in the lobby area only.

SMOKING
