DAST CARES - 2015 Money & Food raised for Sunday Breakfast Mission

"Delaware All-State Theatre is a social-cause non-profit theatrical organization."
- Jeffrey Santoro, Artistic Director/Producer

We view good governance and strong internal management of our organization as integral to our corporate social responsibility. All of those involved with DAST are committed to doing their part to consistently give back to the community from which we work and live. We pledge to conduct our non-profit in a socially and environmentally responsible manner at all times.
Within the past couple of years, DAST raised money and donated nearly $3,000 to two local charities including AUTISM DELAWARE and THE LEUKEMIA AND LYMPHOMA SOCIETY and over $3,000 in in-kind contributions to ten other local not-for-profit organizations.

In 2015, DAST helped to answer the call for help Delaware's homeless citizens. We raised over $3000 in food and monetary donations for Sunday Breakfast Mission.

Those involved with Delaware All-State Theatre, learn to be consistently social-cause focused through our community outreach initiatives including:

          a. providing hundreds of free tickets to area non-profit organizations and to low income families to attend a performance of each Delaware All-State Theatre production (for many, this is their first theatre experience)
          b. selecting worthy, local non-profit organizations to receive a percentage of the net profits from each DAST production. Through our DAST Gives BACK initiative, our student performers and crew take charge of the responsibility to conceptualize, promote, and execute, a viable fundraising effort.

We strongly believe that teaching the importance of giving back to the communities in which we all live and work is life-fulfilling.

Since our beginning, Delaware All-State Theatre has donated more than $25,000 in in-kind and monetary donations to area and international nonprofits including:

• Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children
• Delaware Children's Theatre
• Ronald McDonald House Charities of Delaware
• Delaware Hospic
• Wilmington Skate Park Project
• Sunday Breakfast Mission
• Delaware Shakespeare Festival
• Sojourner's Place
• Aids Delaware
• Water.org
