Delaware All-State Theatre was established in 2007, and was built upon the vision of its Artistic Director and Producer, Jeffrey Santoro, along with the help of several amazing and creative individuals including:
  • Lisa Nowicki (Co-Founder)
  • John Gardner (Producer)
  • Albert Santoro (Producer)
  • and Deb Johnson (Associate Producer)

The goal behind DAST is simple:

give area students from elementary, middle, and high schools the unique opportunity to showcase their theatrical talents in an annual large-scale musical production
- one that forces our audiences to "forget" that they watching students play challenging roles.

Delaware All-State Theatre stages its productions at the Laird Performing Arts Center on the campus of The Tatnall School. In June of 2016, DAST will present the multi-Tony Award Winning Broadway show, TITANIC THE MUSICAL. Last summer we presented MONTY PYTHON's SPAMALOT! Previously at Laird, we mounted the musical comedy, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE and a thrilling production of JEKYLL & HYDE in June of 2013 and performed two DAST BROADWAY REVUES (in December of 2012/2013 respectively), as annual fundraisers for our nonprofit.

In 2012, DAST worked with some extremely talented professionals at the majestic THOMPSON THEATRE in the Roselle Performing Arts Center on the University of Delaware campus for its production of HAIRSPRAY.

From 2008 to 2011, Delaware All-State Theatre partnered with The DuPont® THEATRE, the only Broadway touring house in the State, to present our first four annual productions. In this Historic theatre, DAST staged LES MISERABLES School EditionWEST SIDE STORYURINETOWN The Musical, and RAGTIME.

Over the years Delaware All-State Theatre has created several quality initiatives to help the community including:

  • DAST Gives BACK, a student run Social Cause initiative to teach and remind our performers the importance of always helping others in need. To date, DAST Gives BACK has raised and donated more than thirty thousand dollars on behalf of local charities in both monetary and in-kind contributions.

  • DAST Musical Revue is our annual Alumni FUNdraiser performed each December 30th. DAST alumni from each of our previous shows lend their talents to help raise much needed funds for our organization.

  • DAST GLEE Club was formed to support the community outreach endeavors of both its students and production leaders. Our student have had the honor of performing with

Throughout these few years, we have worked with and trained over 355 students from more than 60 schools with one goal in mind to help them grow as performers.
Our motto has always been to move the "theatrical needle" from great to exceptional peformances.
We are thrilled with the level of commitment our kids and teens have shown over the years and we look forward to continuing our operations for future generations!
